Do you have goods that need shipping NOW, but not enough to fill an entire truck. Less Than Truckload (LTL) services offer the ability to reserve a portion of freight occupying part of a trailer. Doing so allows you to gain the benefits of expedient shipping without the high costs of allocating a whole truckload. Instead, we combine multiple client loads into one trailer, with each client only paying for the space they need.
When is Less Than Truckload (LTL) the Better Option?
Generally speaking, if your freight is less than 15,000lbs and less than around 6 skids in size, LTL may be the better option. Similarly, LTL is ideal when your shipping freight is too large for a parcel carrier such as UPS, but not large enough to warrant paying for ‘full truckload’ services.
